How I Practice Reiki
My Reiki sessions are typically structured to create a calm and relaxing environment that promotes healing and balance. The session usually begins with a brief consultation where I will discuss your current physical, emotional, or spiritual concerns. This helps tailor the session to your needs and sets a clear intention for the healing process. Read about the principles of Reiki.
During the session, you will usually lie down fully clothed on a massage table or sit comfortably in a chair. You will drape a soft blanket over yourself as the session can create energy flows that make you feel quite chilled. I will channel the universal energy and place my hands on or just above (it’s your decision!) your head, torso, legs and feet, following a sequence of positions that correspond to different energy centres or chakras. Each hand position is held for several minutes, allowing the flow of energy to facilitate relaxation and healing.
The duration of a Reiki session can vary, typically lasting between 45 minutes to an hour. Throughout the session, you may experience sensations such as warmth, tingling, or deep relaxation, although responses differ from person to person. After the hand positions are completed, we may spend a few moments discussing your experience and offer guidance on how to maintain balance and well-being after the session.
Overall, Reiki sessions are designed to be a gentle, non-invasive method of promoting physical, emotional, and spiritual harmony. The structured flow of hand placements combined with the peaceful setting helps you feel nurtured and supported throughout the healing journey.
